Supplement Rankings

We have taken 15+ years of clinical experience, formulation expertise, and subject matter expertise in nutrigenomics and epigenetics to begin a full ranking system to a wide range of supplements on the market. Companies are not obligated to do 3rd party testing, nor are they obligated to disclose their results to the public. However, as of April 2024, any supplements sold on Amazon now require 3rd party testing and a submission of a COA.

How is this ranking system different from other companies?

Most ranking companies that perform lab tests focus on product label claim verification and heavy metal testing. However, they do not discern against poorly formulated products, dosages and forms that could cause harm, and tests are not performed for pesticides, herbicides, mycotoxins, residual solvents, or microplastics. For example, a B-complex that uses folic acid, cyanocobalamin, and pyridoxine hydrochloride but was found to be low in heavy metals could receive a 98.5 out of 100.

We will empower you to make informed decisions and give you the peace of mind that you chose an effective and safe supplement. Here is how our ranking system analyzes vitamin and mineral supplements:

  • Highlight dosages that are exceedingly low (below 30 percent except for calcium and magnesium due to bulk being the limiting factor for multivitamins) or exceedingly high (1,000 percent and above)
  • Highlight forms of vitamins, minerals or other ingredients with research showing negative effects, are poorly absorbed, or make claims without any proven evidence
  • Highlight missing crucial vitamins or minerals
  • Analyze blends based on the use of cereal grasses, ground flaxseed, herb combinations that could cause elevated liver enzymes, or insignificant extras used only for marketing
  • 3rd party testing verification
  • NSF for companies that go above and beyond bare minimum testing
